This summer holiday, I had travelled to Hong Kong with many other students. We went to Hong Kong by plane. Hong Kong is very small, but there are many people living there.
In Hong Kong, all of the buildings are very tall. There are lots of shops there and you can go shopping until about 11:00 at night. In Hong Kong, things are very expensive, so we only bought a few souvenirs.
We went to lots of places, such as the Avenue of Stars and Ocean Park. I like Ocean Park best. The park is very big. Sitting in the cable car, you can see two hills, lots of different flowers and the sea. Some students were afraid of sitting in the cable car!
We stayed in the Shu Ren College. There are many big trees around it. We had meals in the restaurants, but I didn't like the food.
Hong Kong is very beautiful. I like Hong Kong and I hope to go there again some day.

One day an unusual girl rushed into my life. She looks like a boy and she is also very lovely. She is very cheerful. I always feel she is a “Red Sun”. The summer holiday came, and my family decided to go to the Qinhuang Island to spend a few days there. On the first day of our trip, we climbed up the hill called Xifeng, which is near the coast. You can’t imagine how wonderful the view was from the top of Xifeng. Here was an overall picture of the small town. We saw lots of white buildings with red roofs among big green trees. There was the vast sea with many little green islands on it.
The next day we got up early and went excitedly to the beach near the hotel to watch the sun rising. We looked to the east. The clouds were reddish and then turned bright red. Soon the sun slowly showed half of her face.The sky around the sun was very bright and suddenly the sun had a leap from the sea and her full face appeared with golden rays setting out. The sea looked as if it was covered with red silk. The sight was so beautiful that we would never forget it.
Not only is the scenery beautiful there, but the people there are very friendly. We also bought many things, such as necklaces, shells and a lot of sea food.
To our disappointment, we had to leave the island. But we’ll always remember this trip and the people there.

For another, they can enjoy better facilities to improve their health.Take my neighbor, Lao Wang, as an example. He had a heart attack and is in hospital. However, he cannot afford the expensive operation, which costs as much as 100,000 yuan. therefore, he has to lie in bed hopelessly. If he were a rich man, his life could be saved.

The large number of our population has become one of the most serious problems of our society. According to a recent survey of the National Bureau of Statistics, there are more than 1.3 billion people in our country, which account for about 1/5 of all the people in the world. the same survey also predicts that our population will grow quickly in the years to come.
Overpopulation has brought about a series of negative effects to our economic development and social security. In the first place, too many people impose a heavy burden on our environment. As a result, we suffer from a shortage of fresh water and natural resources. In the second place, as the supply of labor GREatly exceeds the demand of the society, many people become employed. This is a source of social unrest. Last but not least, we have to manufacture all kinds of products to meet the needs of the people, which causes environment pollution to our lakes and land.
Serious though the problem seems, we have to take some measures to tackle it. On the one hand, the government should carry out more strictly the policy of family planning, thus reducing the total number of population. On the other hand, all the people should realize the harms of overpopulation. With the concerted efforts of all the parties concerned, we’re sure to solve the problem in the future.
